Andrea started playing trumpet from the age of 14 and very quickly progressed, touring with big bands around many countries, including with George Chisholm in 1986 to the World Expo in Canada, performing for Mrs. Margaret Thatcher on the main stage.
 
In more recent times, she is lead trumpet with Woburn Jazz – a swing/jazz band for 14 years, plays regularly with MHJO and other big bands in and around Beds, Herts, Bucks and Cambs. Her Jazz Quintet "Jazzby5" has had many compliments and has a very professional sound.

Andrea has had success with her own performances at MK11, The Taphouse MK, The Cannon in Newport Pagnell and performs regularly with other artists from all over the country, plus runs her own jazz jam sessions far and wide. Her main influences being Chet Baker, Miles Davis, Louis Armstrong and Dizzy Gillespie.

Since January 2019 she was the Musical Director for Woburn Jazz, taking them to dizzy heights & winning the MK music awards.    

Now concentrating on her own styles, she caters for all occasions with her versatile tones, ranging from the subtle smoothness for dinner jazz through to the raucous style required for up beat jazz.
